Al Ain, UAE– Al Ain is abuzz with anticipation as the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation finalizes preparations to host the sixth edition of the IMMAF Youth World Championships. Set to take place from July 21 to 27, 2025, the event will welcome over 1,000 male and female athletes from 60 countries, marking a record number of participants and underscoring the championship’s burgeoning global profile.
This year’s championship holds particular significance as it will be held in Al Ain for the first time, while the UAE proudly maintains its role as host nation for the fourth consecutive year. The surge in participation, from just 200 athletes in the third edition in 2022 to over 1,000 this year, firmly establishes the championship’s rising popularity and the UAE’s pivotal role in fostering young talent in mixed martial arts.
Meticulous Preparations and Global Platform
Mohammed bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Board Member of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation and Chairman of the MMA Committee, affirmed that preparations are progressing meticulously according to a comprehensive plan. This plan meticulously covers all organizational, logistical, and technical aspects, reflecting the UAE’s renowned reputation for hosting world-class sporting events. The Federation is working closely with both local and international partners to ensure an outstanding and memorable edition.
“This year’s championship has attracted record participation, reflecting the rapid development of the event and reinforcing its position as a global platform for preparing the future stars of MMA,” Al Dhaheri stated. He emphasized that “Bringing the competition to Al Ain marks a significant step forward, building on the successes of previous editions in Abu Dhabi.”
Beyond the intense competition, the 2025 edition promises a well-rounded experience for athletes, delegations, and spectators alike.
