[Watch] Tara Djokovic Steals Hearts With Adorable ‘Pump It Up’ Celebration At Wimbledon

London: Seven‐year‐old Tara Djokovic became the centre of attention on Centre Court after mimicking her father’s newly introduced victory dance, delighting the Wimbledon crowd following Novak Djokovic’s dominant third‐round win over Miomir Kecmanovic.

Little Tradition Among Giants

After Novak Djokovic secured his 100th Wimbledon win by defeating compatriot Kecmanovic 6‑3, 6‑0, 6‑4 in just 1 hour and 47 minutes, he unveiled a celebratory gesture—dipping his fists downward, side to side, and then overhead. The move, affectionately dubbed “pumping it up”, was inspired by a fun family tradition accompanied by the 2004 hit “Pump It Up” by Danzel.

During his post‐match interview, Djokovic shared:

“There’s a song with my kids—look, my daughter’s doing it right now,”
prompting the camera to focus on Tara, who playfully demonstrated the dance to emphatic cheers .

“Nobody does it better,” Djokovic laughed, adding, “It’s a little tradition we have right now. Hopefully we can keep pumping more in Wimbledon” .

Milestones And Family Moments

With this victory, Djokovic joins an elite list—alongside Roger Federer and Martina Navratilova—as only the third player in history to reach 100 match wins at Wimbledon .

Tara’s spirited display and her brother Stefan’s enthusiastic applause added a warm, human touch to the milestone. The crowd’s reaction underscored that at the heart of even the largest sporting triumphs are the sweetest family moments .

What’s Next For Djokovic?

Djokovic is now slated to face Australia’s Alex de Minaur in the fourth round. A win would not only move him closer to a record‐extending 25th Grand Slam title but also potentially equal Roger Federer’s record of eight Wimbledon titles, while inching toward the milestone of becoming the oldest man to win a Grand Slam .

And if that wasn’t motivation enough, there’s always the prospect of more “pumping” celebrations—courtesy of Team Djokovic.
