Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Yash Vir Singh finished second with 82.94m, while Sri Lanka’s Sumedha Ranasinghe took third with 80.29m.

Rohit’s 87.68m also placed him among the leading javelin throwers in the world for the 2026 season at the time of the competition.

Another major Indian performance came in the men’s long jump, where Murali Sreeshankar produced the winning mark.

South Africa’s Divan Manuel finished second with 8.03m, while India’s David Patturaj Solomon placed third with 7.78m.

Nigeria’s Chukwuebuka Enekwechi won the men’s shot put with 20.78m. South Africa’s Franco Le Roux won the men’s 110m hurdles in 13.47 seconds, while India’s Aadarsh Ram Jothi Shankar took the men’s high jump with 2.22m.

In the women’s events, Sri Lanka’s Fathima Shafiya Yamick won the women’s 100m in 11.71 seconds, Kenya’s Diana Wanza won the women’s 5000m in 15:16.11, and Brazil’s Andressa de Morais won the women’s discus throw with 58.66m.

Brazil’s Jucilene Sales de Lima won the women’s javelin throw with 59.13m, while India’s Vithya Ramraj won the women’s 400m in 51.96 seconds.
