JioBLAST and the Esports Foundation (EF) are set to host a nationwide competition for MOBA Legends: 5v5! as part of the Road to EWC initiative ahead of the Esports World Cup 2026. The tournament will run through open online qualifiers on the JioGames platform, with registrations open until June 10, 2026.
The top two teams from the competition will earn the opportunity to compete live in front of a large audience at the India Rising: Road to EWC LAN event in Mumbai. This marks MOBA Legends: 5v5! as a featured demonstration title in the national esports pathway and gaming festival.
Growing Mobile Esports Title With nearly 10 million downloads globally, MOBA Legends: 5v5! is rapidly gaining popularity in India’s mobile gaming scene, especially among Gen Z players. The game’s emphasis on strategy, teamwork, and high-intensity comeback moments makes it ideal for both competitive play and live streaming.
Charlie Cowdrey, CEO of JioBLAST, highlighted the title’s potential to build strong communities through accessible mobile gameplay. Tiger Xu, Head of Global Esports for MOBA Legends: 5v5!, noted India as a major growth market and expressed excitement about collaborating to strengthen the local ecosystem.
The Mumbai event will go beyond competitive matches, featuring creator programming, live music, cosplay, comedy, interactive zones, and fan experiences to create a full entertainment festival for India’s growing gaming community.
