Bhubaneswar: India’s backstroke ace Srihari Nataraj reaffirmed his dominance in domestic waters, storming to three gold medals at the Nettakallappa Swimming Competition in Bengaluru. Competing with trademark precision and pace, Srihari outclassed his rivals across his favourite events.
“It feels special to perform in front of a home crowd,” said Srihari, flashing his trademark smile after the meet. “The focus now is on maintaining this momentum for the upcoming international season.”
The event also saw Dhinidhi Desinghu, India’s youngest Olympian at the Paris 2024 Games, share the Most Valuable Swimmer award with Trisha S Sindhu of Lakshyan Academy — both finishing with four golds each.
Srihari’s triple strike further cements his status as India’s premier swimmer, blending experience with unrelenting drive as he prepares for another year of global competition.
