India A Women Take Command on Day 3 of Unofficial Test with Raghvi Bist’s Brilliant Knock

Bhubaneswar :India A Women showed resilience and dominance on Day 3 of the only unofficial Test against Australia A Women in Brisbane, closing at 260 for 8 in their second innings and leading by 254 runs. The star of the day was Raghvi Bist, who played a classy and composed innings of 86 runs off 119 balls, laced with 13 boundaries. Opening batter Shafali Verma contributed a quick 52, setting the tone early before falling to Amy Edgar, Australia A’s best bowler with four wickets.

The day belonged to Bist, who built crucial partnerships, particularly with Tejal Hasabnis and Tanusree Sarkar, guiding India A through a challenging pitch. After a first innings deficit of 6 runs, India A steadied themselves with patient batting against a competitive Australia A bowling attack. Amy Edgar’s four-wicket haul kept the game enticing, while Australia’s Sianna Ginger had earlier scored a resilient 103, largely guiding Australia A to a first innings total of 305.

With just one day remaining, the contest remains finely poised but India A holds a significant advantage. Australia A will need early breakthroughs on the final morning and a strong batting performance to chase a target that could be around 300. As India A’s Raghvi Bist said, “It’s about patience and belief; we are playing for each other and every run counts in a game like this.” This gripping contest promises a thrilling finish.

Key Points:

India A scored 260/8 in second innings after trailing by 6 runs on first innings.

Raghvi Bist’s 86 and Shafali Verma’s 52 were standout performances.

Australia A’s Sianna Ginger scored a gritty 103 in first innings.

Amy Edgar took 4 wickets for Australia A.

India A leads by 254 runs with a day’s play remaining, holding the upper hand.

This match is a testament to the rising talent and competitive spirit in women’s cricket, making it a must-watch encounter as it heads towards anail-biting finale.
