India Thrash Singapore 25-0, Finish Top of Pool A in Women’s U-18 Asia Cup

The Indian women’s U-18 hockey team produced a breathtaking attacking display, hammering Singapore 25-0 to finish atop Pool A with an unbeaten record at the Women’s U-18 Asia Cup 2026 in Kakamigahara, Japan. The emphatic victory capped a flawless group-stage campaign and underlined India’s status as one of the tournament favourites.

Nousheen and Geethasri Lead Goal Fest

Forwards Nousheen and Geethasri starred in the one-sided contest, spearheading an Indian attack that overwhelmed Singapore from the opening whistle. India dominated possession, created chances at will and converted them with remarkable efficiency, leaving the opposition with little opportunity to respond. The result also highlighted the depth of talent in the Indian squad, with contributions coming from multiple players throughout the match.

Perfect Pool Campaign for India

The victory ensured India completed the Pool A phase with three wins from three matches. Having already secured a semifinal berth before the contest, the team used the match to reinforce its credentials and build momentum heading into the knockout rounds. The young Indian side has displayed a potent blend of attacking flair, tactical discipline and defensive solidity throughout the competition.

Eyes on the Knockout Stage

With the pool stage now behind them, India will shift focus to the semifinals as they continue their quest for continental glory. The commanding performance against Singapore serves as a major confidence booster, while the team’s unbeaten run reflects the consistency they have shown since the start of the tournament. If the current form continues, India will be among the strongest contenders for the U-18 Asia Cup title.

Dominance Sends Strong Title Message

India’s 25-goal demolition of Singapore was more than just a victory—it was a statement of intent. With momentum firmly on their side and key players firing, the Indian women’s U-18 team heads into the business end of the tournament brimming with confidence and belief.
