Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant has been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during IPL 2026 clash against Chennai Super Kings. The match was played at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
According to IPL officials, Pant was penalised ₹12 lakh after LSG failed to complete their overs within the stipulated time. Since it was the team’s first offence of the season under the IPL Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, the fine was imposed on the skipper.
Despite the penalty, LSG managed to register an important win over CSK in the tournament. Pant now joins the growing list of captains fined this season for slow over-rates as IPL authorities continue strict monitoring of match timings.
