Delhi Capitals Cricket Academy has taken a significant leap in its international journey by launching a new centre in Seattle, United States.
The new facility will follow Delhi Capitals’ proven coaching curriculum and high-performance framework, focusing on structured training, skill development, fitness, mentorship, and long-term player pathways.
The academy has partnered with Seattle Thunderbolts Academy, a well-established organisation founded in 2021. The Thunderbolts rose to prominence after winning the Minor League Cricket Championship in 2022 and currently train over 200 young cricketers while managing six cricket grounds with quality turf wickets. The setup supports youth, adult, and women’s cricket in the region.
This collaboration aims to create a seamless talent pathway, offering players access to training camps, exposure opportunities, and knowledge exchange within DC’s growing global network.
Delhi Capitals CEO Sunil Gupta said, “The expansion of our academy network in the United States is a key step in building a strong and sustainable global development ecosystem. Our focus remains on creating clear pathways, sharing best practices, and supporting young cricketers as they aim to compete at the highest level.”
Phani Chitneni, Co-Owner of Seattle Thunderbolts Academy, described the partnership as a meaningful move into one of the fastest-growing cricket markets. Vijay Beniwal, another Co-Owner, highlighted the clear pathway it creates for local talent — from grassroots level to high-performance environments.
With this launch, Delhi Capitals now operates academies across India (NCR, Ghaziabad, Bengaluru) and internationally in the UK (London) and Canada (Mississauga), with Seattle marking its entry into the United States.
