Yonex Sunrise India Expands Technical Workshop Initiative with Successful Mumbai Edition

Badminton equipment giant Yonex Sunrise India continued its nationwide technical workshop series with a successful edition in Mumbai, aimed at enhancing technical knowledge and coaching standards within India’s badminton ecosystem.

The workshop brought together coaches, players, stringers, and badminton enthusiasts for hands-on learning sessions focused on racket technology, stringing techniques, equipment maintenance, and performance optimisation. The initiative is part of Yonex Sunrise India’s broader effort to strengthen grassroots badminton development across the country.

Focus on Technical Education in Badminton

Experts from Yonex conducted interactive demonstrations and educational sessions designed to help participants better understand modern badminton equipment and its role in player performance.

The workshop also highlighted advancements in racket engineering, string tension management, shuttle technology, and injury prevention, giving attendees practical insights into professional-level preparation and maintenance.

Nationwide Initiative to Grow the Sport

The Mumbai edition is one of several planned workshops under Yonex Sunrise India’s nationwide outreach programme. The company aims to bridge the gap between professional badminton technology and grassroots-level understanding by offering direct access to technical expertise.

Officials associated with the initiative said the workshops are intended to create a stronger badminton culture while supporting coaches and young athletes with updated technical knowledge.

India’s Badminton Ecosystem Continues to Evolve

India has emerged as a global badminton powerhouse in recent years, producing world-class players and Olympic medallists. With participation levels increasing rapidly, technical education and equipment awareness are becoming increasingly important at junior and competitive levels.

Yonex Sunrise India’s workshop series is expected to further contribute to the sport’s development by empowering local badminton communities with professional-grade knowledge and training exposure.
