Great Britain produced one of the most electrifying moments in indoor athletics history, clinching three gold medals in a stunning 28-minute burst to register their most successful campaign ever at the World Athletics Indoor Championships.

It was an evening that will be remembered for its sheer intensity and dominance, as Georgia Hunter Bell ignited the charge with a brilliant victory in the women’s 1500m. Showing composure and tactical maturity, she chased down Ethiopia’s Birke Haylom before unleashing a powerful final-lap surge to secure her first global title in 3:58.53. The triumph marked a defining moment in her career, completing a remarkable journey from stepping away from the sport to standing at the very top of it.

Moments later, Molly Caudery added to the celebrations with a dramatic win in the pole vault. Clearing 4.85m on her second attempt, she reclaimed the world indoor crown that had once signalled her breakthrough. The victory carried deep emotional weight, coming after a difficult period marked by injury and setbacks that had cast doubt over her return.

The golden hat-trick was completed in emphatic fashion by Keely Hodgkinson, who dominated the women’s 800m final. The Olympic champion and world record holder controlled the race with authority, powering to her first world indoor gold and sealing a historic night for the British team.

With Josh Kerr having already struck gold in the 3,000m a day earlier, the medal surge ensured Britain surpassed its previous best of three golds set in 1999. This time, they did it in unforgettable fashion—compressing history into less than half an hour.

For Hunter Bell, the victory was particularly symbolic. Once balancing a career in tech sales, she returned to athletics with renewed focus and belief, gradually building herself into a global contender. Her latest triumph not only adds to her growing medal collection but also underlines her evolution into one of the sport’s most consistent performers.

Caudery’s story, meanwhile, stood as a testament to resilience. After enduring heartbreak at recent major events and battling through injury, her return to the top step of the podium was as emotional as it was emphatic. Just weeks earlier, even competing had seemed uncertain—making her victory all the more extraordinary.

Together with Hodgkinson’s composed brilliance, the trio’s achievements captured the essence of modern athletics: perseverance, redemption and excellence under pressure. In a sport often defined by margins, Great Britain delivered a moment defined by magnitude—three races, three victories, and a piece of history that will stand for years to come.
