Former Arsenal and France striker Thierry Henry will be honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to football.

Celebrating a Legendary Career

Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of the Premier League era, Henry retired from professional football in 2014 after an illustrious career spanning two decades. The 48-year-old said the honour reflected his deep connection with the sport.

“Football has given me everything and I gave it my all,” Henry said. “To be recognised for what I achieved with my team-mates and for the fans is something I will always cherish.”

Arsenal Icon and Record Breaker

Henry scored 228 goals in 377 appearances across two spells with Arsenal, becoming the club’s all-time leading goalscorer in 2005. His time in England yielded two Premier League titles and three FA Cups, including the historic 2003-04 season when Arsenal went unbeaten.

He also won the Premier League Golden Boot four times and featured in the PFA Team of the Year for six consecutive seasons. Henry jointly holds the record for the most assists in a single Premier League season, with 20.

Success on the International Stage

Born in Les Ulis, France, Henry played a key role in France’s World Cup triumph on home soil in 1998 and followed it up with a European Championship title in 2000. He scored 51 goals in 123 international appearances and was France’s record scorer until 2022.

Club Success Beyond England

After leaving Arsenal in 2007, Henry joined Barcelona and won the treble in 2009, securing league, cup and continental honours. He later played in Major League Soccer with New York Red Bulls and briefly returned to Arsenal on loan in 2012, scoring memorable late winners against Leeds United and Sunderland.

Transition to Coaching

Following his retirement, Henry moved into coaching and punditry. He held managerial roles at Monaco and Montreal Impact before being appointed France Under-21 coach. He also guided France’s Olympic team to a silver medal at the Paris Games in 2024.
