The Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025 has officially begun in Dhaka, Bangladesh, marking the tournament’s first edition since 2012 and the first time it is being hosted outside India. Held at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur, the event brings together 11 teams from across Asia, Europe and Africa, with India entering as the defending champions.
Tournament Overview
The global competition features India, Iran, Bangladesh, Chinese Taipei, Germany, Kenya, Nepal, Poland, Thailand, Uganda and Zanzibar. Argentina, initially listed to participate, withdrew before the tournament began. Matches are scheduled from November 17 to 24, with the final set for November 24.
Group Allocation
The teams have been divided into two groups:
Group A: India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Uganda, Germany
Group B: Chinese Taipei, Iran, Poland, Kenya, Nepal, Zanzibar
Each team will play round-robin matches within their group. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semifinals.
Match Schedule
Group-stage matches run from November 17 to 22, starting daily at 3:00 p.m. and continuing until 8:00 p.m. The semifinals will take place on November 23 at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The grand finale will be played on November 24 at 4:30 p.m.
Points Table
A separate points table is maintained for each group, updated after every match. Standings will determine which four teams qualify for the knockout stage.
How to Watch
Indian audiences can watch every match live through the T-Sports YouTube channel and app. There is currently no television broadcast of the tournament in India.
