Bhubaneswar: In what promises to be a compelling showdown, Dabang Delhi K.C. will square off against Patna Pirates in Match 105 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12. The clash takes place on Wednesday, 22 October 2025 at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium in Delhi at 9:30 PM IST.

Stakes and storylines

Dabang Delhi have already secured a top-2 finish and are locked into Qualifier 1, affording them a relative luxury. Meanwhile, Patna Pirates are battling for survival — a final push to clinch a playoff berth, buoyed by a three-match winning streak that has injected renewed hope into their campaign. This match thus represents more than just three points: one side consolidates, the other fights for its postseason life.

Head-to-head & recent match-ups

Across 24 previous encounters, Patna hold the slight upper hand: 12 wins to Delhi’s 9, with 3 ties. Notably, Patna have won the last six meetings (four wins and two ties) — giving them both a psychological and tactical edge heading into this fixture.

Key players & match-ups to watch

Dabang Delhi: The defence, led by captain Fazel Atrachali, has been a pillar of the campaign. Meanwhile, raider Ashu Malik remains the focal point of their offence.

Patna Pirates: Their resurgence has been powered by Ayan Lohchab, whose second-half spike has given them genuine playoff hope. On defence, Ankit Jaglan continues to carry much responsibility.

One pivotal duel will be whether Patna’s raiders can disrupt Delhi’s defensive corners, and whether Delhi’s supporting cast can step up if their starters are managed or rested.

What to expect

Given Delhi’s status and home advantage, they enter as favourites — yet Patna’s form and history in this fixture suggest a trap is there if Delhi let their guard down. The match may well hinge on support performances: if Patna rely solely on Ayan and Delhi allow their bench to lag, the Pirates could steal the momentum. Conversely, if Delhi rotate but maintain cohesion, their deeper squad may prevail.

Date & Time: 22 October 2025, 9:30 PM IST
