Beth Mooney etched her name in record books after smashing a fantastic 109 runs off 114 balls against Pakistan in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. The match held in Colombo witnessed Mooney walk in at number 4 when her side was placed at 30/2. Mooney, who remained intact at one end, saw Australia get reduced to 76/7 at one stage. However, she found company in Kim Garth and Alana King to help Australia get to a score of 221/9 in 50 overs.
Mooney ended up with 109, slamming 11 fours during her stay at the crease. She shared a 106-run stand for the 9th wicket alongside King, who managed 51*.
Mooney keeps PAK Women at bay
Mooney and King rescued the Australian innings from a precarious position, where they were struggling at 115/8. The two put up a remarkable resistance against Pakistan’s spin attack, which had dominated the first 30 overs of the match.
Despite being under pressure from veteran spinner Nashra Sandhu, Rameen Shamim, and Sadia Iqbal who shared six wickets among them in their 30 overs, Mooney and King managed to take Australia to a respectable total. This is Mooney’s maiden hundred at the Women’s World Cup. She is now the 11th AUS-W batter with a hundred in the global 50-over event. Notably, Mooney has amassed 683 runs from 19 World Cup matches at an average of 52.53. Apart from one ton, the classy batter also has 4 fifties under her belt.
World Cup: 10th batter to slam a ton against PAK Women
As per ESPNcricinfo, Mooney is now the 10th batter in World Cup history with a ton against Pakistan. Meanwhile, she is also the first Australian to do attain the feat against Pakistan.

Another massive record made by Mooney is she added a record 106-run stand for the 9th wicket alongside King. As per Cricbuzz, this is now the highest partnership for the ninth wicket or below in Women’s ODI history.
