Bhubaneswar:;In a dramatic turn of events at the Mandalika International Street Circuit, Fermin Aldeguer claimed his first-ever MotoGP victory at the 2025 Indonesia Grand Prix. The race, however, was overshadowed by a high-speed collision on the opening lap that saw newly crowned world champion Marc Marquez crash out, suffering a collarbone injury.
Aldeguer’s Maiden Victory
The 20-year-old Gresini Racing rider showed exceptional skill and composure, overtaking KTM’s Pedro Acosta on the 10th lap to take the lead. He maintained his position to cross the finish line ahead of the competition. Aldeguer’s triumph made him the second youngest winner in MotoGP history and the first rookie to win a race since 2021.
