Asia Cup 2025 Final: India Bowl First, Hardik Pandya Out; Pakistan Open with Fire from Farhan and Fakhar

Bhubaneswar: Latest Match Update:In a high-stakes Asia Cup 2025 final clash at Dubai, India captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bowl first against arch-rivals Pakistan. India faced a setback with star all-rounder Hardik Pandya ruled out due to a niggle. Jasprit Bumrah, Shivam Dube, and Rinku Singh came into the Indian XI replacing Hardik, Arshdeep Singh, and Harshit Rana.Pakistan openers Fakhar Zaman and Sahibzada Farhan put on a strong start. Farhan was in remarkable form, hitting a half-century off 35 balls before Varun Chakravarthy got him out with a sharp catch at deep mid-wicket. Fakhar continued to dominate with aggressive strokeplay, supported well by Saim Ayub at the crease.India’s bowling spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy aimed to break this partnership early to put brakes on Pakistan’s scoring. The pitch at Dubai International Stadium is flat and expected to favor batting, adding to the thrilling contest ahead.India’s batting mainstay Abhishek Sharma leads the tournament run charts with 309 runs and will be a key figure when India chase. Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha leads an unchanged side aiming to upset the Indian dominance after losing the two previous meetings in this tournament.
