Bangladesh Cruise Past Hong Kong With Dominant Chase In Asia Cup 2025 Clash

Dhaka Side Showcases Bowling Depth To Restrict Hong Kong

Bangladesh opened their Asia Cup 2025 campaign with a convincing seven-wicket victory over Hong Kong in the third T20I of the tournament. After opting to bowl first, Bangladesh’s pace and spin attack combined to restrict Hong Kong to 143 for 7 in 20 overs.

Taskin Ahmed, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and Rishad Hossain starred with the ball, claiming two wickets apiece. Hong Kong’s batting resistance came through skipper Nizakat Khan and Yasim Murtaza, who stitched together a steady middle-order stand, but Bangladesh’s disciplined bowling denied them a late surge.

Litton Das Anchors The Chase With Composed Fifty

Bangladesh’s reply was anchored by Litton Das, who played a fluent half-century to ensure a smooth chase. Supported by Towhid Hridoy’s 35 and contributions from Jaker Ali, the side chased down the target with 17.4 overs to spare, finishing at 144 for 3.

Litton’s ability to rotate strike and find boundaries at key moments proved pivotal, as Bangladesh never allowed Hong Kong’s bowlers to settle into a rhythm.

Bangladesh Start Tournament Strong, Hong Kong Face Pressure

The win gave Bangladesh early momentum in their Asia Cup 2025 campaign and underlined their depth in both batting and bowling. Hong Kong, while competitive in patches, will need to regroup quickly to remain in the hunt for the next round.

Bangladesh’s next fixture will test their consistency, but this performance sets a solid tone for their tournament ambitions.
