DUBAI — In a dominant start to their Asia Cup 2025 campaign, India’s bowlers delivered a historic performance, bowling out the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for just 57 runs. The stunning display at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium not only secured a thumping victory but also set a new record for the lowest-ever total against India in a Men’s T20 International.

The UAE’s collapse now tops the list, cementing its place in the record books. Here’s a look at the five lowest totals against India in Men’s T20I history.

The Five Lowest Totals Against India in Men’s T20Is

  1. United Arab Emirates (57)
  • Match: vs India (Asia Cup 2025)
  • Year: 2025

The record-breaking performance came in the opening match of the Asia Cup 2025. After a promising start, the UAE batting lineup completely unraveled against a relentless Indian bowling attack, with spinners in particular running riot. The innings came to a close in just 13.1 overs, handing India a decisive win and a new place atop this unwanted list.

  1. New Zealand (66)
  • Match: vs India (3rd T20I)
  • Year: 2023

Previously holding the unwanted record, New Zealand was bundled out for a paltry 66 in a bilateral series match in Ahmedabad. The Indian bowling attack, led by the spinners, was in complete control, as the Kiwis struggled to put up any significant resistance.

  1. Ireland (70)
  • Match: vs India (1st T20I)
  • Year: 2018

In a one-sided affair in Dublin, Ireland’s batting lineup was no match for India’s clinical bowling performance. Chasing a competitive total, the home team never got going and was dismissed for just 70 runs.

  1. England (80)
  • Match: vs India (T20 World Cup Super 8s)
  • Year: 2012

During the T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka, a star-studded England lineup had a day to forget. They were bowled out for a mere 80 runs against a disciplined Indian bowling effort, which demonstrated India’s prowess in subcontinental conditions.

  1. Zimbabwe (99)
  • Match: vs India (3rd T20I)
  • Year: 2016

In a bilateral series in Harare, Zimbabwe managed to cross the 100-run mark in their first two matches but failed to replicate the same performance in the final game. They were bowled out for 99, rounding out this list of the lowest totals against India in the T20I format.
