A Look At Teams That Won Three Consecutive T20 Titles

Bhubaneshwar- In the world of T20 franchise cricket, winning a single championship is a monumental task. Yet, a select few teams have accomplished the near-impossible feat of winning three or more consecutive titles, solidifying their place in the sport’s history books. This exclusive club has recently welcomed a new member in the Oval Invincibles, who completed their own three-peat in 2025.

Here is a look at the most dominant dynasties in men’s T20 leagues.

Victoria (2005/06, 2006/07, 2007/08)

Victoria earned their place in history by becoming the first team to win three consecutive T20 titles. Their dominance began in the inaugural season of Australia’s domestic T20 competition, where they defeated New South Wales in the final. They followed up by going undefeated in the next season, winning all their matches to defend their title. Their three-peat was secured in the 2007/08 season when they bounced back from their first-ever loss to beat Western Australia in the final.

Sialkot Stallions (2006, 2006-07, 2008-09, 2009, 2009-10)

The Sialkot Stallions are the undisputed kings of consecutive titles. After a slow start in the first season of the Pakistan National T20 Cup, they went on an astonishing run, winning five consecutive championships. Their remarkable streak included a record 24 successive victories, a feat that remains unmatched in T20 cricket. Their dominance cemented them as the most successful team in the league’s history.

Wayamba (2008, 2009, 2010)

Led by captain Jehan Mubarak, Wayamba established their dynasty in the Sri Lankan domestic T20 competition. They began their three-year winning streak in 2008 and successfully defended their title in 2009. Their hat-trick was completed in 2010, a season in which they went unbeaten in the league standings and secured a massive 95-run victory in the final.

Trinidad and Tobago (2011, 2012, and 2013)

Under the leadership of Dinesh Ramdin, Trinidad and Tobago became the most successful team in the Caribbean T20 Cup by winning the final three editions of the tournament. Their incredible run included an undefeated campaign in 2011, a successful title defense in 2012, and an unbeaten performance in the final edition in 2013, which they won by a commanding nine wickets in the final.

Titans (2015, 2016, 2017)

The Titans were a powerhouse in the South African T20 circuit, clinching three consecutive titles under the captaincy of Albie Morkel. They topped the league in each of those three seasons. Their winning streak included a close six-run victory over the Warriors in 2016 and a dominant seven-wicket win over the Dolphins in 2017 to complete the three-peat.

Jaffna Kings (2020, 2021, 2022)

The Jaffna Kings made history in the Lanka Premier League by becoming the first and only side to win three consecutive seasons. Under the captaincy of Thisara Perera, they defeated the Galle Gladiators in the first two finals and then secured their third title with a thrilling two-wicket win over the Colombo Stars in a nail-biting final.

Oval Invincibles (2023, 2024, 2025)

The Oval Invincibles have joined this elite list by achieving their own three-peat in The Hundred. Their dominance began in 2023 when they won their first title. They successfully defended their crown in 2024 and completed the trio of victories in the recent 2025 season by defeating the Trent Rockets in the final.
